Fairytale of Love

Once upon a time there was a lonely princess looking for love,
Being a dreamer she wished a prince would fall from the sky above.
Being so desperate for love she found it in all the wrong places,
But she didn’t know she soon would be dealing with some nut cases.
It all started one day when she thought she found the prince of her dream,
Even though she was just 16 she was so happy she wanted to shout and scream.
This prince of hers worked hard to make riches and was well known in the land,
But even though this prince was well off he didn’t win the princess’s hand.
She was no longer happy because the prince kept putting her down,
He called her names, was rude, and always made the princess frown.
Once again the lonely princess was left looking for love,
But being a dreamer she wished a prince would fall from the sky above.
Surely she found another prince at age 18 and hoped that this one would be the one.
This prince worked a little for his riches and is somewhat well known by everyone.
They both would go out with friends and go to Balls and the princess was happy,
But things started to downfall when the prince and princess would argue constantly.
The prince would say mean things to the princess and act very controlling,
So the princess was fed up and had enough and left that prince crying.
One last time the princess was lonely and left looking for love,
But the dreamer that she was she wished a prince would fall from the sky above.
With her luck a prince did show up and this one was different than the other ones,
He treats her right and makes her feel loved and so she holds on to him before he runs.
This prince may not have work much for his riches or be well known by many in the land,
This prince may not go out to Balls and festivities but he treats the princess just grand.
The princess really loves this prince very much and now at 23 she realizes some things,
It doesn’t matter how many riches and fun a prince has, what matters is the love he brings.
So they both walk together hand in hand full of love and laughter.
The princess one day hopes that they will both live happily ever after.
